The challenge

What wasn't working.

Zephz makes performance footwear for three very different worlds - cheerleading, team sports and court sports - but had no single place that presented the brand and the full range with the polish the products deserved.

It also had to speak to different markets at once - a US-facing .com and an EU-facing .eu - with content the team could edit themselves, in multiple languages, without a developer in the loop.

Our approach

How we built it.

We built Zephz a fast, server-rendered catalog site on Next.js 15, backed by a custom headless CMS so the team owns every word, image and product.

  • A clean product catalog organised by the three sport segments, with rich product detail - galleries, size runs (youth / adult / ladies), highlights and retailer links - plus related products.
  • A custom headless CMS where editors manage products, news and the Home / About / News pages from reusable content components, with draft/publish and a Google Cloud media library.
  • Multi-language content and a multi-domain setup - .com served en-US, .eu served en-EU - all from one codebase.
  • Editorial built in: a news/blog, a caring & size guide, and a live Instagram feed with server-side token management.
  • A catalog-first model - products hand off to external retailers via "where to buy" buttons - kept fast and SEO-ready.

The outcome

What changed after launch.

Zephz now has one home for the brand and the entire range - consistent across sports, languages and regions - that the team can update themselves. Shoppers browse the catalog, dig into product detail, and click straight through to a retailer, while editors publish products and stories without touching code.

And it's built to grow: the same foundation is set up for a B2B distributor portal - wholesale pricing, bulk ordering and invoicing - as the next phase.

“TherraCode gave our brand the home it never had - every shoe, every story, in every market, all in one place we control.”

Phase 02

The B2B distributor portal.

The catalog foundation is built to carry wholesale. Phase two turns Zephz into a self-serve portal for its distributors - accounts, negotiated pricing, bulk ordering and invoicing - on the same codebase and CMS, with no second platform to maintain.

01 - Accounts

Distributor data model & auth

Company and user records under a dedicated B2B role, with a registration → approval workflow: pending, approved, suspended.

02 - Pricing

B2B pricing & availability

Price lists assigned per distributor, region and tier; distributor-only and regional catalogs; live stock visibility and lead times.

03 - Ordering

Bulk ordering

Size-run grid plus quick / CSV order entry, MOQ and case-pack multiples enforced, and multiple ship-to addresses per account.

04 - Terms

Orders, terms & invoices

A full B2B order lifecycle - submit → approve → fulfill → ship - on Net-30 terms and credit limits, with generated invoices, payment tracking and reorder-from-history.

05 - Admin

Admin & operations

An approval queue, price-list management, B2B order review and fulfillment, invoicing, and wholesale reporting - all in the existing CMS.

Shipping alongside · platform hardening
Single source of truth - migrate all remaining mock content fully into the CMS.
SEO layer - SEO component, sitemap & robots routes, JSON-LD structured data.
Catalog UX - search, filter, sort and pagination across product listings.
Permissions - tighten API access before exposing pricing, orders and distributor data.
